Prep Instructions for Ultrasound

Abdominal – Do not eat or drink anything 8 hours prior to your exam.
Pelvic and Fetal – Drink 32 ounces of water 1 hour before your exam and do not urinate until after the exam is complete.
Renal – Drink 16 ounces of water 30 minutes before your exam and do not urinate until after the exam is complete.
