Quality and Safety

Columbus RadiologyAt Columbus Radiology we take quality and safety very seriously. Our board-certified and fellowship trained radiologists and our board-certified technologists work as a team to provide optimal image quality and interpretations with competitive turn-around times. Communication is a vital aspect of this quality service, and we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via our innovative Results Communication Center.

Our radiologists are sub specialized and are trained in Neuro, Musculoskeletal, Body, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatric, Cardiothoracic and Interventional Radiology. We utilize advanced imaging techniques such as high-field 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and digital mammography to provide detailed and clear images of anatomy for the most accurate diagnosis.

Our imaging protocols are tailored so that pediatric patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA). We work with our referring physicians to determine which modality and protocol can best answer their question, giving our patients the answers they need.

We believe that patients should feel comfortable and safe. Our caring and highly trained technologists perform detailed screenings of patients prior to their procedures. Our continuous quality improvement (CQI) process utilizes industry proven indicators and addresses all aspects of patient safety, even challenging ones such as prevention of communicable diseases in MRI suites.

Education is constant and essential in our practice. Our peer review process holds our radiologists accountable, allows for ongoing education, and ultimately elevates the level of clinical quality. We have motivated physicians who attend conferences and learn new techniques and then put those skills into practice.

What our patients and customers think of us, and how they value their experience with us is very important. Patient and office satisfaction surveys are critical, and we carefully consider comments and implement suggestions. We are dedicated to constantly improving our practice.
